Magical lolly

This is a lolly but not any odd it is a lolly that tastes like candy floss but is healthy. There is only one store that sells these magical lollies and its called Lollies R Us.

One day there was a boy who came to the shop and tried one of the lollies, he got addicted to them. He had five or more per day.Did you hear me when I said healthy well he was fat.

One week later his mum said to him, "how are you so small?"
He said "I don't know". He told his parents he had eaten a lot of the special lollies. The person who owned the soon became rich and the world is now a healthy place.

The golden hat

One day there lived a poor boy called Rodger who was begging for food in the street. He is gazing around and suddenly something catches his eye across the street next to the dumpster. He decides to go and have a look. To his surprise he sees a GOLDEN hat. Rodger picks it up and puts it on his head. He likes the look of it and decides he will keep it for good luck.
Rodger gives up begging thinking he has seen enough for one day and heads back home.

He decides to go to bed and puts his new hat on his pillow next to him, his stomach is rumbling loudly like a grizzly bear. He is having trouble getting to sleep so he starts counting sheep. After a couple of minutes of counting he falls asleep.

In the dead of night he is woken by the sound of a cow mooing and thinking its a dream tries to get back to sleep but the mooing continues. He looks around his room and the moon light shines through his window and he cant believe his eyes as he sees a pair of sheep, a pair of cows, a pair of chickens and a pair of pigs. Yes that's right all these animals were in his bedroom.

He sees one of the cows is wearing his GOLDEN hat. He runs out of the room calling "Mum, Dad come look what I found". His parents sleepily come to his room. They all stand there in amazement. Its like there is a whole farm yard in his bedroom. "Where did they all come from" asks his Dad. Rodger replies "the hat must be magic".

They cant believe their eyes as his Dad takes them all into the barn. This means everything for the family, finally they now have a way to get money and food. They can sell the milk and eggs and can make cheese to eat or sell. They will even be able to have bacon. The family will no longer be hungry.

Rodger keeps the GOLDEN hat in the barn with the animals thinking it will be good luck.

A cloudy lesson

Once upon a time there lived a boy and his grandfather.  His grandfather's name was Jacob and his name was Jax.

Jacob took Jax to the roof of his house to make cloud's. First he took the cloud shaped hoop and set it up on the platform on his roof.

Jacob blew into the magical hoopand a cloud flew through  the other end then Jax tried and when he blew through the hoop one little cloud popped out.

Jax tried again and nothing happened.  He kept on trying but nothing happend so he lent over and broke it he stood up.

Jacob said are you okay and then Jax stood up. Jax looked at the magic circle and it was no longer a circle. Jax tried to strech it back into it's shape but made it worse.

Jax looked through the hoop at a cloud then he made a star and gave it to Jacob. Jacob blew into it and it made a star cloud.

Then he made a rabit and gave it to Jacob. He blew into it and it made a rabit. Jax made a hart and it made a hart cloud.

Once there lived a little boy and he lived in a village called Taopo and his name was Archie. He had to feed his village and he decided to fish at the small pond. He was waiting there for a tug. Then suddenly he felt a tug and he pulled and pulled then it came out but it was only a small fish.  He through it in the empty basket and sighed then he heard a wail and ran to see. His trap and saw a fox. He pulled out his knife and cut the fox free, then it ran off. The fox ran off behind the basket and then jumped in the basket and stole Archie's fish. The fox ran off under spiky a tree. Archie looked back at his villige and Archie kept on going under the tree over a log up a steep hill and half way up Archie lost his hat. At the top of the hill he saw the fox throw the fish in the water and then the fog cleered away and he saw a massive lake. Then a massive fish jumped up and then the fox came up to Archie with a stick. Archie  broke a twig of and tied his piece of string with a hook on to the stick. He sat down with the fox and put his rod in the water then he walked back with a big and small fish. He gave the small fish to the fox and took the big fish back to his village.

Tongariro Crossing

On Saturday I woke up at 5:30am and got in the car we drove to the shuttle park. James and I found a perfect walking stick.

The shuttle came but it could only take 5 people so we couldn't get on. Finally the second shuttle came it could take 21 people so we got on and I took the stick with me.

When we got to the start of the track, we started to walk and it was nothing like I thought it would be and it was nice an silent. It took an hour to get to the saddle .

We started to think if we were going to climb to the top of Ngauruhoe and we thought we would give it a go and we started; we didn't go very far until mum and I didn't want to go any further but dad and James kept going. We thought we had gone quite far when we got to the top.

We started to go over a long flat part and we stopped and looked at a water pond and had a rest. We started walking again and we started to climb up a slippery part. There was a chain that you could hold on to too help you get up.

We got to the top of the hill.  I wanted to go to the top of tongariro so we started to climb and it was so windy so we came down. We went down a steep rocky face and stopped and had lunch at the edge of the Emerald lakes.

We walked over the last flat and climbed up the hill and saw the Blue lake. I thought it splendiferous.

Finally we were on our way down, we stopped at the Keretahi Hut and had more food and a toilet stop. We saw where the eruption damaged the hut from 2012.

Walking through the forest we seemed to walk for ages and ages before we finally made it back to the car.

There was lots of amazing scenery but it isn't the sort of thing to rush back and do quickly because it is such a long walk.

holiday writing

In the holiday I went horse riding; my horse's name was Cisco. My mum drove us there.

first I got on my horse and waited for the rest of the group, then we got in an order and I were second to last. we walked along the track and when I finished you got to choose to trot or walk. I decided to trot.

We had family friends there and we were the only people that decided to go faster but one of our family friends wanted to walk because the last time she rode a horse she had a bad experience. So we went off on the track and we started to trot and I thought it was really fun compared to walking. We were trotting and walking on and off. Now we all started to gallop.

I think that horse riding is really fun and I want to do it again. There is one problem, it is expensive.

ANZAC day

Anzac Day is a day that we remember all the soldiers that have fought to make New Zealand and the world a safer place.
Anzac stands for Australia New Zealand Army Corps.
People remember Anzac day by going to an a memorial early in the morning where they sign the National Anthem and say a prayer for the soldiers to remember them.
If people have family that have fort in past wars and received medals that have been passed down these can be worn at the memorial on the right side.

EOTC week story

On Wednesday  for EOTC week it was youth town . First we had the roll. Then we went outside to do  tipi   building. We had to tie  the bamboo together and put the tarpaulin on. Now we are trying again. Time up!

Next it was the Flintstones kart. First the man tought us how to do the knots and then it was time to start building. We used the knots that they taught us to tie the kart together. It was time to ride the kart now but you also have to push the kart.

Archery, my favourite thing. The arrows were almost real but they were made of fiberglass. The bows were long bows. In archery I was the only person in my group in my class that got a bulls-eye. In the two classes I got closer to the middle.

After lunch we had problem solving and it was with Romans mum. The first thing we did was minefield and I was the first person in our group to make it to the end in our group. Now we are doing the swamp and I got to the end first and then we did a puzzle and my group finished the puzzle first. Then we did the pipes and our group was the only group that finished it.

Walkie talkie, my least favourite. First we buddied  up and then another pair would hide and then we had to try and find them. But there walkie talkie was broken and we could not.
